How To Wash Your Car

1: WASH YOUR VEHICLE REGULARLY.

Washing your vehicle on a regular basis such as weekly/ fortnightly will help keep the coating clean from clogging up with scale and grime, by doing this simple step your coating will be performing at its best giving you the best protection and of course appearance. Using a quality shampoo like ENVOKE PH NEUTRAL SHAMPOO will help remove the dirt and grime safely without damaging the coating, its also beneficial to use a descale shampoo like ENVOKE DESCALE once a month to help remove unwanted contamination on the surface. We also recommend to have yearly maintenance coats done by the installer to do a full decontamination and apply a maintenance coat to ensure the coating is performing at it’s optimum, this also gives the installer a chance to inspect the coating for performance and overall condition.

2: How to wash your vehicle.

Washing your vehicle correctly is key to ensuring the best possible lasting results and the process is quite simple.

THE 2 BUCKET WASH METHOD.

The two bucket wash method is a technique used to safely and effectively wash your car to minimise the chances of causing swirl marks or scratches in the paint.

HERE ARE THE STEPS TO FOLLOW:

1: Fill two buckets with water. One with bucket will have your shampoo solution, and the other will be fresh water only for rinsing your mitt.

2: Add car wash as directed on the bottle.

3: rinse the car first with a pressure cleaner or hose to help loosen any dirt and debris.

4: Begin washing the car from top down, using a quality microfiber wash mitt.

5: After washing a section of the car ( eg half the roof), dip your mitt in the rinse bucket to remove any dirt and debris.

6: Return your mitt to the wash bucket and continue washing another section of the car rinsing mitt after each section.

7: Once you have finished this process, rinse the vehicle with the pressure cleaner or hose to remove all the soap. NOTE: do not wash in direct sunlight if possible, if unavoidable then rinse each section as you wash.

8: Dry vehicle using either a drying towel designed for car paint or alternatively use a blower ( a garden leaf blower is ok to use) to dry the vehicle.

By following the two bucket wash method, you will minimize the risk of scratches or swirls on your vehicle’s paint. Additionally using a high quality car wash like the ENVOKE RANGE and a high quality soft microfiber mitt will help to prevent damage to your vehicle’s finish.
